Yukon wound care and rehab has given me an incredible opportunity to work with patients and explore the the health career environment as a high school student. The environment of Yukon Wound Care and Rehab is both welcoming and educational. The hands on learning optimizes the experience by providing guided independence making me feel comfortable despite starting the internship with little prior knowledge. Sherri, Jennifer, and Joyce’s constant positivity is conveyed to the entire facility which is evident in the patients reciprocation. They also provide an approachable workplace in which questions are always welcome and eagerly answered. Everyday I look forward to coming to YWCR for the learning experience, the staff, and the patients. This internship has given me an invaluable opportunity to learn and observe patient care as well as see numerous wound care cases I had never known before. I recommend Yukon Wound Care and Rehab to anyone interested in physical therapy/wound care whom seeks a great learning environment.
